Women’s Studies Internship (WMNST 598)

Why be an intern?

  • Earn 3 units of credit working in a community organization.
  • Get hands-on experience.
  • Prepare for a career.

All women’s studies majors are required to complete either Women’s Studies 598 (internship) or satisfy an international experience requirement.

WMNST 598 is offered on a credit/no credit basis only. You can complete an internship any semester. Students work a total of 120 hours over the semester (8 hours per week for 15 weeks). Most internships are unpaid.

It is open to any undergraduate student who has a 2.5 GPA and who has completed at least one upper-division Women's Studies course, and any graduate student enrolled in the Women’s Studies MA program.
